I'm a Walker!

My "real" first birthday!

As most of you know, Avery's "real" birthday is today, June 27th.

Of course she was born on Hoopfest weekend, so

we celebrated early this year.

Avery spent the day today watching Daddy play basketball

and cheering on the players. What more could a girl ask

for on her birthday than to hang out with her Dad!

As we were driving to JJ's 8 am game we realized that

Avery was born exactly 1 year ago at 7:13 am....

our little girl is growing up.

It's weird to think what things were like a year

ago. I can't imagine life without her! She is the most precious

and wondeful little girl and I am soo thankful God gave her to us.

FYI: By the way she is officially a walker, I posted proof on her

youtube site, but I am trying to get one posted on here soon.

1st Birthday

We had a BIG party for Avery's 1st Birthday this weekend! Her actual Birthday isn't until June 27th, but the world revolves around Hoopfest apparently, so we celebrated on the 20th. Avery did really well at the party, although she had absolutetly no interest in the presents, so I ended up opening all of them. I did capture a rare moment where she stopped to check out a new toy, there was just too much going on for her! The cake on the other hand, she handled like a pro! JJ's Birthday

JJ turned 31 yesterday! Wow, to think that last year at

this time there was no Avery! Avery had a blast

helping us celebrate, she especially loved

the mud pie. We even had a first sort of tantrum

when she realized she wasn't getting any more!

Pre-Daddy's Birthday

Before JJ's birthday celebration Cousin Grace & Auntie Jen

came over for a little water fun! Although we had

slip and slide issues, the girls had a blast!

Play Dates

This week has been full of playdates!

Hazel, Jacob & Avery ate lunch at the water park (that

ended up not having any water yet). We were soo ready

to splash around and were very disappointed. Oh well, we had

a nice lunch....I'll rephrase that, we had a nice and BUSY lunch!

Of course Jacob gave Avery plenty of love.

Avery and her BFF Julia had their first successful play date.
They both actually were awake, happy, and playing
at the same time! Amazing. Notice that in each picture
one of them is cracking up!

We have serious water baby on our hands!

Today we went to my friend Casey's house for a playdate and lunch. Avery got to go on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath. She loved it, but it was quite tricky getting her off without me having to crawl on the wet trampoline. The second picture shows her watching as the slip-n-slide is being set up.
