The "Dog Days of Summer"

Well, life has been very busy at the Gass household. With only a few weeks left
before "baby sis" joins our life, I have been trying to pack as much in as I can.
Avery had embraced the 2 year old melt downs and quirky obsessions and makes each day
uniquely challenging yet always so rewarding in the end. I just love that a couple
times day when she will reach up and put her hand on my cheek and say "I love you Mom....
or Mom, you're cute"! Those moments make up for all the other energy sucking ones.

of the bush.
This is supposed to be a "muscle shot"! As you
can see, Avery has no clue about muscles.

Avery loved the Gondola ride
at Riverfront park.

So this summer Avery has shocked us to say the least.
Our once "water baby" is terrified to go in a pool or
a lake this summer. Even with Daddy holding her tightly this
is pure torture. We are pushing the issue and
continue to bring her to the beach and pools hoping
this quirky behavior will miraculously change.
