China Baby - Dedicated to Uncle Tim

Two summers ago Uncle Tim made a trip to

China and brought Avery back a China girl outfit.

She finally fits into it...and she thought

it was soo fun to put it on! Thanks Uncle Tim,

we love you!

Avery is all about doing just what we are

doing ALL THE TIME! In this case she

wanted help Daddy fill out

some "oh so interesting" paperwork.

FYI: She thinks if she puts her hat on, we will bring her

outside....that's why she is sporting her hat indoors.

The cousins unite once again!

Uncle Peter, Auntie Dev, & Cousin Abbey all came to

visit last week from Georgia. It is always so great

to see them....we missed them sooo much!

It was so fun to see Avery, Abbey and Grace

all together. They all have

such different little personalities.

I was horrible at getting good /many pictures

during this visit. I think it was because

the girls were on the go non-stop.

Of course we had to get a classic bath shot.

Uncle Pete gave the girls a lesson on brushing their hair!

Pee Pee in the Potty! What a big girl!

Well, tonight was a very exciting night in our household. Last week

we decided to get a "potty" for Avery.

Thought we would see what

she would think of it. We have tried sitting her on it....talking

about pee pee and poop.....and nothing,

like we expected. Well,

tonight after getting naked for bath

Avery began pointing at her bottom

and heading for the bathroom. Why not give it a try,

I thought.

She sat on her potty with such

excitement...after a few minutes

she jumped up and to our surprise,

she had actually done a "real pee"!

She was sooo proud and immediately

wanted to play in it

with her hands! Yes, she is only 18 months old!

Yes, we do realize this probably

won't continue like we'd

hope...but it's a start! What a BIG girl!

We forgot to take a picture of the actual event, so she reenacted it

for us after her bath! So proud!
I know it doesn't look like it, but there IS a real
pee in this potty! ( a good amount I must say)
